NLDS Crystal Ball . . .
Once again I did not toggle anything, but simply let the Baseball Mogul simulation run its course and monitored its findings. Here is the first round of the playoffs.
2007 Playoffs
NLDS: Game 1: Cubs 3, Diamondback 0
Zambrano throws an eighth inning shutout allowing three hits and three walks with six strikeouts. Randy Johnson allowed one run, a solo homer as one of Jones three hits on the day, in six innings.
NLDS: Game 2: Cubs 4, Diamondback 1
Prior threw eight innings and allowed only one run. Derrek Lee took three walks and also knocked in DeRosa with a sacrifice fly for the game winning run in second inning. Ramirez added insurance in the sixth.
NLDS: Game 3: Diamondback 3, Cubs 5
Sean Marshall had five strong innings allowing only three unearned runs. Soriano hit two homers and four of the Cubs five runs came from his bat. The Cubs sweep the D-Back and move on to the NLCS. The Cardinals drop one game to New York before moving on to face the Cubs.
Next Up . . . St. Louis!
